BMW specification is worth getting right
A 3 Series, 5 Series or X model can cover several engines, drivetrains and equipment levels. Check the exact version, transmission and trim in the vehicle details. If it is M Sport, has xDrive or has additional option packs, include what you know.
Useful extras such as a panoramic roof, head-up display or upgraded seats should be mentioned. We do not assume that every car with a particular trim badge has the same equipment, or that an expensive new-car option retains its original value when sold used.
Service records, condition and modifications
Tell us whether the service history is complete, partial or unavailable. Digital entries and supporting invoices can help explain what has been done, especially when the car has been maintained by more than one workshop. Mention recent work as well as any outstanding jobs.
Describe warning lights, unusual noises, oil leaks or other faults you know about. Ordinary alloy wheels, a towbar or window tint are acceptable under our criteria, but we do not buy substantially modified cars. Please disclose a remap or performance modification before arranging an inspection.
Plug-in hybrid and electric BMW valuations
We consider suitable plug-in hybrid BMWs, including 330e and 530e models, and electric vehicles such as the i4, iX and iX1. Tell us the exact version, mileage and available charging equipment, together with any battery or charging concerns.
Existing battery or warranty information can be useful, but you do not need to pay for a report to make the first enquiry. For a plug-in hybrid, service and condition information about the engine is relevant alongside the electric system.
How we buy your BMW
Our usual range is 2013 onwards and under 160,000 km, with older classic, unusual and high-value cars considered individually. Suitable Irish-registered imports and cars with outstanding finance are welcome. We do not buy insurance write-offs, including repaired Category N or Category S cars.
The initial offer is subject to inspection and history checks. Once the purchase is agreed, payment is confirmed before handover and collection is free within Leinster. We can view the car at a convenient location in Dublin or meet you in Skerries or Rathfarnham, by appointment. Viewings outside Dublin may be possible by agreement.
Common questions
Do you consider high-value BMWs or older M cars?
Yes. High-value, classic and unusual cars can be assessed individually outside our usual age guideline. Send the exact model, condition and history rather than assuming it is too old or too expensive.
Can you buy my BMW if it is on finance?
We can consider it. If you proceed, we verify the settlement with the finance provider and agree how it will be cleared before completing the purchase.
